What is POPhealth?
POPhealth (formally CULTURx on Substack) is my newsletter project that aims to bring a fresh take on healthcare marketing and communications news.
Our ever-evolving industry is bursting with inspiration, so I’ll handpick the most interesting stories, trends and insights that sit at the heart of healthcare, culture and creativity.
Expect a blend of the latest shifts in popular culture and consumer behaviour and their impact on the industry, the latest healthcare news influencing culture, stand out marketing campaigns from the category. I’ll pack in some original thoughts and takeaways for your healthcare brands and campaigns… and I’ll try not to bore you to much with musings from my day-to-day.
Who even am I?
I’m Emma, but most people call me EML. I’ve spent (well) over a decade in advertising, most of which has been working with healthcare brands across pharma, consumer health and wellness, beauty and animal health.
As a strategist, it’s kinda my job to have a catalogue of knowledge on the industry, but more importantly, it’s to be obsessed with the real world and the cultural shifts and behaviours that influence the way we live. That’s why I created this newsletter project. POPhealth is a space where we can explore how these things intersect… and inspire better work.
